چکیده

In this paper, we present our XcalableMP implementation of the HPCC HPL, RandomAccess, FFT, and the Himeno benchmark [1] which is a typical stencil application. The highlights of this submission are as follows: • We implemented three HPCC benchmarks; HPL, RandomAccess, and FFT. In addition, we implemented the Himeno benchmark. • The SLOC (Source lines of code) of the benchmarks is shown in Table 1. • The performance summary of the benchmarks is shown in Table 2. • To measure performances, we used the K computer at RIKEN AICS and HA-PACS at University of Tsukuba in Japan (Table 3).

Charm++ for Productivity and Performance - A Submission to the 2011 HPC Class II Challenge

We present our implementation of the HPC Challenge Class II (productivity) benchmarks in the Charm++ [1] programming paradigm. Our submission focuses on explaining how over-decomposed, message-driven, migratable objects enhance the clarity of expression of parallel programs and also enable the runtime system to deliver portable performance. Our submission includes implementations of three requi...

Charm + + Migratable Objects + Active Messages + Adaptive Runtime = Productivity + Performance

Charm++ is an elegant, general-purpose parallel programming model backed by an adaptive runtime system [1]. This combination yields portable performance and a spectrum of real-world productivity benefits that have been demonstrated in production applications. Our submission to this year’s HPC Challenge (Class II) comprises six benchmarks that demonstrate these practical benefits available to ap...

Overview of the HPC Challenge Benchmark Suite

The HPC Challenge1 benchmark suite has been released by the DARPA HPCS program to help define the performance boundaries of future Petascale computing systems. HPC Challenge is a suite of tests that examine the performance of HPC architectures using kernels with memory access patterns more challenging than those of the High Performance Linpack (HPL) benchmark used in the Top500 list. Thus, the ...
